Andrew and Maree’s story has always been one of thinking outside of the box. Andrew a fourth generation Merino grower on the family property “Westfield” Est 1889 and “Silverwood” in Longreach, thought outside of the square 15 years ago when the couple diversified into organic farming, growing Organic Dorper Lambs. 7 years later they branched out into their online paddock to plate business “Silverwood Organics”. Queenslanders have been treated to fresh Organic Lamb packs delivered to their doors. They have won numerous awards for quality Lamb and LamHam and the business enterprise. LamHam’s were developed by Maree (a former Home Economics teacher with a passion for food and especially all things Lamb) as a unique Christmas and Easter option for their online customers. In 2013 Silverwood Organics won Queensland Sheepmeat Producers Of The Year and won a trip to Dubai to the Gulf Food Trade Show. It was here that the LamHam idea grew wings. Andrew and Maree have a passion for quality, a love of all things Lamb and a desire to always be unique by thinking outside of the box.
